At EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 we showed our imec IDLab (UGent - imec) demo on O-RAN compliant Wi-Fi Access Points for Programmable and Intelligent Multi-RAT Networks, developed within the UNITY-6G project.
Our work demonstrates how extending the O-RAN architecture beyond cellular networks to include #openwifi Access Points enables a unified control plane across multiple Radio Access Technologies (RATs).
