Analog Devices, the world's leader of analog and RF chips, released AN-2597: An OFDM-Based HDL Reference Modem Using the AD936x RF Transceivers. In this Application Note, it mentions: "The HDL PHY layer is built on top of Analog Devices existingHDL libraries and an open-source Linux mac80211 compatible Wi-Fi chip design based on SDR." In the reference section, openwifi paper is the only non Analog Devices source. This means the AN-2597 is based on our openwifi project.
openwifi project aims to offer the world an open Wi-Fi chip design with many special capabilities that are not existing in COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) Wi-Fi chip. Since openwifi was online at the end of 2019, it has been used widely by academia and industry for networking/security/sensing/5G/6G research. Please check our publications page to discover all papers and works based on openwifi.
